Ken Kuzmich has been a resident of Toronto’s east end for most of his life, other than a few years in Ottawa, attending Carleton University for his Bachelor of Journalism. He also has a MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business. His focus at Schulich was marketing and finance, so Ken is well-versed in understanding and developing mortgage scenarios that help his clients.
For most of his 25+ year career, Ken has been primarily a marketer, working on many top consumer packaged goods brands such as Timex, Glad, Brita, and high end spirit brands such as Smirnoff, Baileys, and Glenfiddich. As a professional marketer and sales person, Ken knows the importance of customer service for both consumers and big customers like the LCBO. As a sales person, Ken knows how to treat his clients right.

Ken’s focus is on GTA East – Scarborough east to Oshawa. He has been a mortgage agent for the last three years and was attracted by the Mortgage Guys’ focus on customer service. He was also attracted by the Mortgage Guys’ knowledge, ethics, and friendliness.
Over the course of his career, and combined with his education, Ken has developed excellent communication and listening skills. At your first meeting, he will listen intently to your needs and then come back to you with a mortgage strategy with multiple options to suit your needs. Every client and situation is different and each one demands a different treatment and strategy. Ken is very patient with his clients and this helps develop a trusting relationship with them.
Ken is interested in all aspects of the mortgage industry, but he has a particular focus on helping first-time homebuyers. He also wants to help his clients obtain their dream homes when they are ready to take the next step in their home-owning experience.
Ken is married to Elizabeth Ayling, who is a long-time real estate agent in the Toronto-East area. Elizabeth has taught Ken many things about the real estate industry and the nuances of buying a house. She is the reason that Ken got into the mortgage industry. They can help clients as a one-stop-shop team.
Sporting activities and community involvement are very important to Ken. He has two daughters who have been rep hockey goalies for many years – he has about 25 “girl-years” as a hockey parent, head coach, assistant coach, association director, and team manager. His daughter Julia attends Queens and is no longer in rep hockey, but his older daughter Olivia is playing Intermediate-A for the Durham West Girl’s Hockey Association, for which Ken is the team manager. Ken is also a board member of the West Rouge Community Association and is the publisher of its flagship magazine “West Rouge Life”. He is also an avid hockey player and skier.
